EGLI KAJI

EGLI KAJI

Egli Kaja is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Northampton Town having previously played for AFC Wimbledon between 2015- 2019 where he... also went on loan to Lewes and Livingston Football Club.

When Egli was two, he immigrated to the UK with his family leaving a war zone back in Kosovo. He has been playing football all his life and at a professional level for five years.

During his career he has met many people, some of which from unfortunate backgrounds, who have inspired him in so many ways to get involved in charity work. He has volunteered to do charity work with the clubs he has played for.

In his previous club, AFC Wimbledon, he helped at a children’s hospital, participating in a lot of community work supporting children and with coaching. He recently visited a disabled children’s hospice in Northampton, spending time with the children just before Christmas.

He went on to assist in the opening of an organisation called Premier League Kicks, which helps young children who have been involved or surrounded by crime to stay off the street and get involved in football.

One of his main goals as a player and a person is to help other people achieve and give them the best opportunity they can have in starting a career.

In addition, Egli donates regularly to the charity Save the Children and to a hospice in London called St Raphael’s.
